Where is Solomons Island, Maryland?

Solomons Island is located on Rt. 2 in Calvert County, Maryland where the Patuxent River meets the Chesapeake Bay. This beautiful harbor village, established in 1867, is conveniently located a little over an hour from Annapolis and Washington, DC and less than two hours from Baltimore and Richmond, Virginia.

This mini-resort paradise is the perfect destination for premier charter fishing, exceptional waterfront dining and a wide range of recreational activities.

Solomons Island, Maryland is located on State Route 2 in Solomons, Calvert County,
Southern Maryland, twenty miles south of Prince Frederick.

Directions

From Annapolis
Take Route 2 South towards Solomons Island where Route 2 and Route 4 merge.
Stay on Route 2/4 South (Prince Frederick/Solomons) to Solomons.

From BWI Airport
Take I-170 to Rout 97 South to Route 3 South (which becomes Route 301 South).
Follow to Route 2/4 South (Prince Frederick/Solomons) to Solomons.

From Baltimore
Take 695 South to Route 97 South to Route 3 South (which becomes Route 301 South.
Follow to Route 2/4 South (Prince Frederick/Solomons) to Solomons.

From Richmond
Take I-95 North to Route 301 North across Governor Nice Memorial Bridge (toll).
Right on to Route 234. Right onto Route 5 through Leonardtown.
Left onto Route 4. Cross over Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge.
First right off bridge. Immediate right onto Solomons Island.

From Northern Virginia
695 South to Route 97 South to Route 3 South (which becomes Route 301 South).
Follow to Route 2/4 South (Prince Frederick/Solomons) to Solomons.
From Northern Virginia and Washington Capital Beltway (I-95).
Take Exit 11A (Route 4 South) to Solomons.

Local Events

April 18 & 19    Tiki Bar opening for the season. Rooms are hard to find, especially ones with a boat launch that will drop you off at the Tiki Dock!

April 26th    Celtic Society of Calvert County is having their annual festival. Stay aboard la Bella Vita while you visit Patterson Park for the festivities.
